A 15-year-old Chinese girl in Henan is in the news after reports say she underwent extensive plastic surgery to look white and win back an ex boyfriend. Instead of an expected uproar on her surgery photos, many find it disturbing that her after surgery pictures are very popular, having been received with a wave of enthusiastic admiration on Chinese social media.

According to reports, the young girl's account on Chinese social media platform Weibo, which states her birthday is May, 1999, has a shocking 400,000 followers. Her fans commented on her photos that she is "too beautiful to look at" and that her pointed chin and snow-white skin had made her a "snake spirit," a reference to one of the most popular folk legends in China. Miss BumBum Contestant Andressa Urach Slams Plastic Surgery After Butt Implant Disaster

She was near death after implants to enhance her thighs and butt went septic, and now Brazilian model Andressa Urach is speaking out against cosmetic surgery. The former runner-up in the Miss Bum Bum contest said on Brazil TV that she regrets putting "poison in my body, mostly because of having too much vanity."

Though she survived the tragic wounds that followed an infection caused by the rotting implants, Andressa hasn't fully recovered yet. The wounds on her legs were seen bleeding through her skirt during the interview. After she was discharged from hospital at the beginning of the year, the model released horror photos taken during her month in intensive care. Now, she's making the media circuits to warn others against plastic surgery.
