Oby Ezekwesili Slams President Jonathan For Campaign Visit to Maiduguri

President Goodluck Jonathan made a surprise call at a military base in Maiduguri yesterday as a way to boost the morale of the soldiers for the Armed Forces Rememberance Day. But not everyone is empressed. On my FB where I shared the news, someone called it "campaingning and not caring."

Former minister of education and Oby Ezekwesili seems to agree, as she expressed her anger and disgust on Twitter. She also reminds the president of the promises he made and failed to the Chibok parents after the #BringBackOurGirls online activism.

Whose side are you on, all I can say is 'at least he finally visited.'

The Nigerian State House has just released a report concerning President Goodluck Jonathan's visit to Maiduguri ealier today. The president undertook the trip after attending a ceremony in Abuja that had the Vice President, Namadi Sambo, and other officials present.

This year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day was especially poignant, and was marked by a high number of social media posts - due to the ongoing sacrifices of the military as they fight Boko Haram in Northern Nigeria. Read the press release and photos below...

Pastor EA Adeboye, Bishop Oyedepo, Ron Kenoly At The Presidential Wedding

General overseers Pastor EA Adeboye of Redeemed Church and Bishop Oyedepo of Winner's Chapel, respectively as well as international gospel star Ron Kenoly were present at President Goodluck Jonathan's niece's wedding today at the International Conference Center Abuja today.

Today is the conclusion of the Presidential wedding ceremonies as Goodluck Jonathan’s foster daughter, Inebharapu Paul - the daughter of his first cousin who died over 15 years ago - will be having her white wedding to Simeon Onyemaechi. 

Yesterday, Ine and her friends celebrated her last days as a single lady with a bridal shower, and today some of them will be walking with her down the aisle as her bridesmaids.

Ine And Simeon's Traditional Wedding - See The Groom & His Men

The presidential wedding is going on right now in Otuoke Bayelsa, and the groom, Simeon Onyemeachi has stepped out with his groomsmen. Simeon is from Awka, and studied at Madonna University, Elele. He currently lives in Abuja, and works as a medical officer in a Federal Parastatal.

The groom is wearing antelope pattern outfit and red ozo cap while his groomsmen - friends from work, school and family - are wearing matching cream-colored traditional outfits with Igbo caps. Check out more pictures below...

GEJ Must Go! Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka Cries For Change In Nigeria!

Renowned Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has cracked the proverbial egg in a new video where he asked President Goodluck Jonathan to resign honorably to make way for APC presidential candidate, Maj.Gen Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) to bring change and progress to the country.

Rev. Mbaka addressed his cross-over New Year sermon titled “From Good luck to Bad luck”, to the thousands who thronged his popular Catholic Adoration Centre in Enugu. In the sermon, he urged his parishioners to vote for Buhari.

Mbaka knelt in front of the altar, cried and asked God to give Nigeria a good leader and not Jonathan. He acknowledged that he used to love Jonathan but that the president has disappointed Nigerians and his goodluck had become badluck.

Another Adopted Daughter Of President Goodluck Jonathan About To Wed

Another of President Goodluck Jonathan's daughters is about to get married to her boo. Ine and Simeon will have their traditional marriage this coming weekend on the 3rd of January in Bayelsa state, and their church wedding will be in Abuja on January 10.

I can't help thinking how this looks. Is President Jonathan now promoting Beats By Dre? The president was pictured with D'banj at the launch of the Youth Employment In Agricultural Programme #YEAP that held in Abuja, and just before Dbanj performed, he called up the president and presented him with the Beats By Dre customized headset.

The president demanded a retraction and an apology from the website and all others that republished the post. Being that I was one of those, I offered my apology here.

President Goodluck Jonathan through his spokesperson, Reuben Abati has reacted to the list published recently, which named him as the 6th Richest African President worth about $100million. The president's office sent out the release below asking for a retraction and an apology from relevant websites that published the story.

Since I did, I hereby tender my unreserved apology to the president if indeed he has no other sources of income than his civil service pay as president. If and when he begins spending more than this, I want my apology back.

President Jonathan Visits Benin City, Edo State For PDP Rally

President Goodluck Jonathan visited Benin City, Edo State, to commission a newly completed road and to also attend the PDP Unity rally yesteray.

The president along with Vice-President Namadi Sambo were welcomed by the State Governor, Adams Oshiomole. They also visited Oba of Benin’s palace before leaving the State.
