Coventry University, one of the top UK universities favored by Nigerians held their convocation for MBA and MSc graduating students yesterday and Aliko Dangote's daughter, was one of them. The married daughter of the cement billionaire, Mariya Dantata, was celebrated by her father, his friend and business partner, Femi Otedola along with the rest of her family and friends.

Femi Otedola and Aliko Dangote were later seen around the campus and were very gracious as they took photos with their fans in the school, some of whom were also graduating. Photos below...

Student Loses Sight in One Eye after SLAP by School Official

A 14 year old SS2 student of Bishop Philips Academy, a secondary school in Ibadan, Oyo State has reportedly developed a major eye condition requiring surgery after she was slapped by the secretary of the school principal. She narrated her sad story to the Sunday Tribute;

“On Thursday, January 29, students were having an Agriculture class, so those of us offering Food and Nutrition left the class and three of us went to stay in one of the rooms in the building.

Middle School Teacher Caught on Tape Threatening to Show Pupils His Long D-ck

A middle school teacher was only put on a paid administrative leave after he was caught on tape angrily ranting at a class of 12 and 13 year olds using several swear and cuss words. Bizarrely also, he referenced the size of his p*nis and threatened to show it to the children.

A 12-year-old student recorded the seven-minute tirade and played it back to her mother. The outraged mom shared it with the press after she claimed the principal of the affected school refused to do anything about the incident. She had to make the tape public and go to the school district before the man was even suspended.

Nigerian Prodigy Becomes Youngest UK University Math Student At 10-Years-Old

A Nigerian girl aged 10 has become one of the UK’s youngest university students after starting a degree at the Open University. Esther Okade, from Walsall, is finding time between playing with her dolls to study a maths degree after being home schooled by her Nigerian born mother, Efe Okade.

According to Mirror UK: The numbers whizz became an undergraduate three weeks ago and is already nailing the subject – scoring 100 percent on a recent test. The home-schooled youngster’s incredible grasp of calculations seemingly runs in the family as her six-year-old brother Isaiah is already taking an A-level in maths.

Mom Arrested After She Beat Daughter for Failing In School & Made Her Wear Embarrassing T-Shirt

A Florida-based mom, 30-year-old Melany Joyce Alexander, has been arrested for child abuse after she beat her middle school daughter for getting all Fs in her classes. The mom beat her daughter with a metal-studded belt, and also made her wear an embarrassing t-shirt announcing her failure.

Humans Of New York Blogger Raises Almost $1Million For School Kids To Visit Harvard

An inner city kid talking to, and allowing his photo to be taken and shared by Brandon Stanton of Humans of New York had led to something amazing. The teenager opened up about his Principal Ms Lopez being his greatest influence and talked about the wonderful things she was doing for Mott Halls Bridges Academy.

The photographer decided to make a call to his HONY followers to fund children in this school to pay a visit to Harvard as a way to expose them to better opportunities and reward the principal. The fundraiser started on 23 January, and as today, they have raised almost $1 Million in less than a week!

More Than 130 Dead After Taliban Attack Pakistani School Kill Over 100 Children [Photos]

More than 130 people, and over 100 of them children, have been killed in a Pakistani Taliban attack at an army school in Peshawar, according to local officials.

Six or more attackers, dressed in army uniform, mounted the assault on the school for the children of army personnel shortly after 11am. Hundreds were in the school at the time, the Guardian reports.

The attackers, some of them wearing suicide vests, managed to get into the school from the roof of a van parked next to a wall that abuts a graveyard, according to local police. They began firing at random. Another blew himself up as security guards approached.

BREAKING: Police In Oregon Say Three Shot At Portland High School

A shooter wounded two boys and a girl outside an alternative high school Friday in what may be a gang-related attack, Portland police said.

The victims are believed to be students at Rosemary Anderson High School, which serves about 190 at-risk students, Sgt. Pete Simpson said. The three were conscious and breathing when they were taken to the hospital, he said.

The shooting was reported after noon and happened at a corner outside the school, Simpson said. The assailant fled, and the students ran back to the school for help, he said.

Pupils Forced to Eat Teacher’s Semen Cookies Get $140 Million From LA School District

An LA court has mandated the school district to pay victims $140 million settlement in a case involving a third-grade teacher who blindfolded his students and forced them to eat cookies made with his semen.

Mark Berndt, 63, had been a teacher with the L.A. Unified School District for 30 years when his behavior was finally exposed in 2012. A 19-year-old photo pharmacy clerk called police after the teacher brought in "bondage-style photos" of blindfolded kids.
