yahoo hacking
I got my first email in 2001 and it was a yahoo account. It was opened for me by a friend who had moved abroad and wanted to encourage me to use the internet to keep in touch, rather than the more expensive post or telephone. I chose a very simple password, something I felt I would never forget. By 2005/06, that friend was no longer in the picture but I was vastly more experienced in using the internet. Yahoo had started 360 and I set up an account - my first experience of social media.

Adele - Set Fire To The Rain
Adele, whom I featured in Chasing Pavements, announced in June that she was expecting her first baby with boyfriend Simon Konecki. Adele and Simon began dating this January and made their first public appearance at the Grammys in February. The latest gist is that the Simon will be proposing to Adele soon and the baby is due in just a couple of months. Congrats to them. I wonder if the singer will begin happy romantic songs afterwards? For now, enjoy Set Fire to the Rain :)

Relationship Articles
This is the second part of the first post titled How Long should a guy wait? Let me remind you a bit of the scenario. There is this lady who has a toaster but she is still praying to get direction on the relationship. There are several things she did not like about the guy including the fact that he showed his feelings too early, and he has a daughter from a previous relationship. But she likes that he is generous and keeps him around as a platonic friend for 2 years.

My Lagos Adventures and Saying Goodbye to Gala
UPDATE - I've corrected my phone number now. Sorry!
Hey everyone, hope your week's going well? Mine started off OK and Lagos is treating me fine. Mostly anyway. We arrived last Thursday and the next day was vegging out day, we slept and rested for most of it. I did log online with the Starcomms Izap I bought the last time I was in Nigeria, my mother-in-law had recently topped it up with the 9pm-9am package. The network was a bit spotty but it was the timing that I couldn't just manage. I did find out about a bookish event for Saturday which I attended.

For most of us, religion forms a pretty big part of our lives, right from when we are born up to when we become adults and begin thinking of who to partner with for the rest of life's journey. It becomes an even bigger deal then because not only do people have to share the same morals and values, most of which stem from their early religious/non-religious upbringing, you also have to consider where what role religion will play in your wedding, the marriage proper and in raising your children.

The Lucky Seven Meme - A Fiery Love Excerpt
Posted in:
Memes
Kiru Taye tagged me on this fun thing making the rounds in the writing circuit.
Here are the rules: Go to page 77 of your current manuscript, Go to line 7, Copy the next 7 lines - sentences or paragraphs and post them as they are written. No cheating, Tag 7 authors.
My excerpt is from A Fiery Love, which I am still niggling over. Enjoy...

Washington DC - A Day At The Museum 1
Hi Peeps, hope your weekend has started off well? You won't guess where I am right now, Nigeria! But hey, nothing much to report. I'm still adjusting after the trip which took almost 24hrs, being searched after testing positive for explosives, jet lag, and many other traveling adventures. So while I settle down to write those down, enjoy these pictures from Washington DC. These were taken at the Museum of Natural History and the Museum of American History.

when to say sorry
The strongest relationships stumble and when they do the ones that survive are the ones where the person who might have been wrong owns up to their mistake. It’s not just the “sorry” that counts, but the recognition with knowing you are fallible and that the person sitting across from you – that loved one from whom you seek validation and affection – understands that a brief setback isn’t a bad thing so long as reparations are made.

Antomyms of a Mirage - Atilola Moronfolu (Guest Author)
Atilola Moronfolu is a fellow blogger, and a writer and editor. She is a Nigerian, born, bred and buttered in Lagos. She studied Computer Engineering at the University of Lagos and just resigned her job as a Consultant in order to grow a career in writing and editing. I had a small interview with her about her first book, Antonyms of a Mirage, and what is the story behind. Enjoy...
