By Fikayo Giwa,

We’ve all heard about the nightmare a friend or family member has had with their wedding guest list. Be it the hours spent formulating the list or the drama finding guests’ seats at the reception. We’ve all heard these scary stories; so here are a few things to consider in order to make sure they don’t happen to you.

Shakara Ologe Ni - A Funny Short Story

By Tofarati,

As Sharon walked into the lobby of the lecture theatre, arrogance oozed out of every pore of her being as if she had dipped herself in a pool of it before coming to school. She didn’t bother to greet any of her colleagues who stood chatting in different groups around the room. She brought out her phone (a Blackberry Torch1) and began to dial nosily.

Glo X-Factor Auditions - King/Queen Democracy And Others

Posted in: ,

Nigeria has it's own X-Factor and while I think though that the judges still have to get their flow right, the auditions are just as hilarious as any I've seen, the good, the bad, and the fugly. Some will make you laugh and some will make you want to cry. King/Queen Democracy stand out for me, music brought them together and they are now married and performing together. Whether they are any good is left for you to decide. Check out their videos and others.

Couple Love - Dakore and Olumide Akande

Nollywood actress, Dakore recently attended an event with her husband, Olumide Akande. Speaking about her marriage to TW, Dakore said: “You have to thank God again that you’re lucky enough to find someone that you feel that passionately about. We were lucky enough to find each other and it just works. We talk about things, we read books—psychology, religion—and try to make sure we are on the same page all the time.” She makes a load of sense. Wishing them more love and happiness.

Blackmagic's Repete - Music Video Romance

Posted in: ,

The video to Blackmagic's single, "Repete" was shot by Unlimited LA in Lagos, and styled by a Twitter friend, Crystal S! According to her, the video is meant to "keep everyone guessing till the end which of the girls (characters) he was possibly going on a date with." It sure makes the ending sweet.

I think they all did a great job, the picture and sound were great as was the acting. I like the ladies who acted in the music video too.

Toke Makinwa and her fiance, Maje Ayida

The first in the series of Butterscotch Evenings took place on Friday, the 17th May, at Eko Convention Center, Lagos. Butterscotch Evenings combine great food, oldies but goodies music, fashion and comedy. Bill Bellamy and Johnny Gill were the headlining acts for this first, I hope the organizers focus more and more on Nigerian talent going forward.

Enjoy the red carpet moments below. Many people including celebrities made a night of it, and I love that there were loads of couples.
