The Many Engagement Rings of Victoria Beckham - 13 Rings In 15 Years of Marriage

For Victoria Beckham, engagement rings seem to be to her a fashion accessory rather than a permanent symbol of love.

When David proposed in 1998, Victoria’s first ring was a diamond cut into an elongated ‘marquise’ shape, set on a yellow gold band, worth around £65,000.

Since then, the singer-cum-fashion designer has been seen wearing an astonishing 13 engagement rings in her 15 years of marriage to husband David Beckham.

Chibok Community Says The Presidency Shared N22.4M Directly To Parents And Girls

The Chibok community in Abuja has explained that contrary to reports that the Presidency gave them N100m, it was Dan Adebiyi, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties who shared N22.4m directly to the Chibok parents and girls who attended the meeting with President Goodluck.

The Kibaku Area Development Association in a press statement signed by its Spokesman, Dauda Ilya, in Abuja on Wednesday, said that: 51 escaped girls were given N100,000 each, 51 parents equally received N100,000 each, and another 61 parents got N200,000 each.

The community stated that 10 parents out of the 122 that took part in the meeting with Jonathan did
not receive any money. Their statement read;

10-year-old Female Suicide Bomber Arrested in Katsina Wearing Explosives Belt

A 10-year-old girl, suspected to be a suicide bomber has been arrested in Katsina State. This was announced today by the Chairman of the National Information Centre, Mr. Mike Omeri.

And according to Omeri, the little girl was among three suspected Boko Haram members that were arrested on Tuesday night. She had a belt strapped with explosives at the time of her arrest.

Nigeria Wins Two More Gold Medals At The Commonwealth Games!

Nigeria’s Odunayo Adekuoroye and Maryam Usman have won Nigeria two more Gold Medals! 

Odunayo Adekuoroye snagged the winning title in the women’s 53kg freestyle wrestling at the ongoing 2014 Commonwealth Games. 20-year-old Odunayo knocked out India’s Lalita Lalita in a 5-0 win, to clinch the first gold medal of the day in the wrestling competition.

Maryam Usman clinched gold in the women’s weightlifting over 75kg category. Usman, 23, finished with an overall score of 280 kilogrammes, ahead of defending champion Ele Opeloge of Samoa. Tracey Lambrechs from New Zealand took bronze.

Congrats Team Nigeria!
