Gbenga Adeyinka The First On His Marriage of 19 Years, Children, Career And Inspiration

In his interview with LoveOasis Magazine, a digital magazine, Gbenga Adeyinka talks about  his career, marriage and inspiration. He revealed how he and his wife had to ’run cashless economy’ in his home when he switched from the Corporate world to entertainment.

What’s your philosophy about marriage?

It’s always about family, whatever you do; it must always be about family. Even when you think of misbehaving, always have your family at the back of your mind. Because if you lose everything in the world and you still have your family, there are chances you will find some form of happiness and rebuild. But if you gain everything in the world and lose your family, the chances that you will be able to rebuild may be practically impossible.

Lauren Scruggs Lost An Arm And An Eye In A Plane Accident But Found The Love of Her Life

Lauren Scruggs made headlines in 2011 after she walked into the still-spinning propeller of a small plane while exiting in the dark. She was hit in her left eye and severely injured her left hand. The arm had to be amputated and after surgery to remove the left eye, Lauren currently uses a prosthetic eye and arm.

After her recovery, the former model did not allow life to keep her down. Lauren turned her hands to fashion blogging, and also wrote a motivational book. And now, she is engaged and about to get married to the love of her life, E! News reporter Jason Kennedy!

White South African Students in Blackface Spark Debate On Racism And Apartheid

Two students from the University of Pretoria shared this picture of them in blackface and dressed in domestic worker costumes as a joke on Facebook.

However, the picture has sparked a massive debate on social media sites after it went viral, reigniting the age-old conversation on racism in South Africa and the ghost of Apartheid.

The photo was quickly deleted, but already some people had made screen grabs and it swiftly disseminated on Twitter, sparking outrage among black people everywhere.

Former BBA Housemates Pokello and Fiance Elikem Take A Beach Vacation

Pokello from Zimbabwe and Elikem from Ghana met while they were on Big Brother Africa: The Chase, in South Africa last year. The couple who got engaged back in May are currently vacationing in Rwanda, in the city of Kigali.

At the beach, mom of one, Pokello showed off her curves in a sexy black lace and red bikini while her fiance wore matching black swimming trunks and red top.

The clip obtained by TMZ shows Dwyane’s proposal to Gabrielle, with the help of his sons from his first marriage and his adopted nephew.

The boys carried placards readng; “Nickie will you marry us?” He went down on one knee and of course she said yes. To all of them... awww...

US Surveillance Planes Searching For Abducted Chibok Girls Spot Several Groups

U.S. surveillance flights over northeastern Nigeria, had twice in July showed what appeared to be large groups of girls held together in remote locations.

This has raised hopes among domestic and foreign officials that these girls are among the group that Boko Haram abducted from the Chibok boarding school in April.

According to the Wall Street Journal,

The surveillance suggests that at least some of the 219 schoolgirls still held captive haven't been forced into marriage or sex slavery, as had been feared, but instead are being used as bargaining chips for the release of prisoners.

Nigerian Government Declares Ebola A Matter of National Emergency

The Federal government has declared the Ebola outbreak in Nigeria a matter of national Emergency, adding that everyone is now at risk of being infected.

Speaking with State House correspondence at the end of today's Federal Executive Council meeting, the Minister of Health, Prof Onyebuchi Chukwu said the Nigerian government has written to the Director of the United State Centre for Disease Control to request for the release of some of the unapproved ZMAG drug which has proven to be useful in the treatment of the Ebola disease.

He said the Federal government awaits a response from the United state government and hopeful if the drugs are released, they could be used to treat the confirmed cases of the Ebola virus disease in Nigeria.

President Goodluck Jonathan also met with the United States VP – Joe Biden and other African leaders at the African Business Forum. The Nigerian president wore a black suit with matching trousers, a red tie and no hat.
