Joan Rivers In Medically Induced Coma - Joked about Death A Day Before Suffering Cardiac Arrest

Joan Rivers is currently in a medically induced coma after she stopped breathing and went into cardiac arrest while undergoing a throat surgery at a New York City clinic. While many reports said Joan was “in stable condition”, today it has emerged that she has been placed in a medically induced coma.

Now CNN reveals that on Wednesday, a day before the cardiac arrest, the 81 year old comedienne had joked about death.

She had performed at Laurie Beechman Theater and  a source, who was in the audience for the show, said Joan joked about death, teasing:

‘You know I’m 81 years old, and I could drop dead at any moment and you would be so lucky because you will have a story to tell your friends for the rest of your life.

The edgy look seems to be in right now, and Keira Knightley is renowned photographer, Patrick Demarchelier's muse in the new issue of Interview magazine.

The 29-year-old actress is seen topless in a striking pose wearing only black slacks and black lace gloves that go up past her elbows.

Keira Knightley married James Righton in 2013, and is promoting her new movie, The Imitation Game in which she stars alongside Benedict Cumberbatch.

The film, which is out later this year, is based on the real life story of legendary cryptanalyst Alan Turing, played by Benedict, and portrays Turing and a team of code-breakers racing against time to help win World War II.

Britney Spears has confirmed reports of her break up with boyfriend David Lucado. The couple had been dating for 18 months but the love affair has officially come to an end.

Britney Spears took to her Twitter.com account yesterday and wrote, “Ahhhh the single life!”. This was after online bloggers suggested a video of Lucado with another girl is being shopped around news outlets.

Spears’ publicist also confirmed the split saying, “Yes, she’s single.”

#YesWeTan: Obama Wears Tan Suit To Press Conference, Sparks Twitter Craze

President Obama was making serious comments yesterday about the threat that the Islamic State terrorist group poses, but social media, and especially Twitter was more obsessed with his tan suit.

Obama has worn that suit before, once on a visit to church on Easter Sunday, but his typical work-a-day suits are more dark-colored. I guess it didn't also help that after his 2-week vacation, the president is looking more tan than usual.

The explosion of tweets about Obama's tan suit seemed very contrary to the usual way people respond to male politicians or public figures in general. Usually, it is women that face this kind of commentary, the most recent case in point being Hillary Clinton when she ran for president, and even as Secretary of State.

Funny enough, the suit now has its own parody account with the twitter handle @BarackTanSuit.

The White House response: "He loves that suit." Yes, we do too.

Resident Wants Ebola Index Case In Port Harcourt To Be Named And Hotel Quarantined

We have discussed before whether Ebola infected or suspected cases should be named, and most say for legal and ethical reasons, it may be best not to. I think I agree. Before I continue, let us know this.

FACT! Ebola does not kill all in contact with infected persons. So far, the kill rate is 50% which is still not good, but let's not spread panic. 

I don't think it's necessary to name the ECOWAS staff who is the index case of Ebola in Port Harcourt, having been in contact with Patrick Sawyer, the Nigerian index case. I hear he/she is now Ebola free, he was treated and survived, unfortunately, the doctor who treated him contracted the disease and died.

Also, reputable news sources say the ECOWAS staff is being monitored in Lagos, if so, there is no need to release his name to PH residents.

But I agree that the hotel should be closed and cleaned up.

To all residents of PH, please do stay safe. Reduce your contact with crowds and strangers, wash your hands regularly and report anyone who you know is sick.
