Britney Spears has confirmed reports of her break up with boyfriend David Lucado. The couple had been dating for 18 months but the love affair has officially come to an end.
Britney Spears took to her Twitter.com account yesterday and wrote, “Ahhhh the single life!”. This was after online bloggers suggested a video of Lucado with another girl is being shopped around news outlets.
Spears’ publicist also confirmed the split saying, “Yes, she’s single.”
The news of their breakup has come as a surprise to lots of people because just last weekend, Britney Spears invited Lucado on stage during her Las Vegas Britney: Piece of Me show on Saturday.
During the sexy performance, he had a leash tied around his neck and was led around on all fours by Spears.
Lucado and Spears started dating in March 2013, shortly after the singer called off her engagement to former manager Jason Trawick.
