I Admire Market Women - Chimamanda Adichie On Feminism, Beyonce, Racism & Writing

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is in the April 2015 issue of Vogue, in addition to her daily outfits photo shoot for the magazine. In the April edition of the paper, Chimamanda talked about various things, including being a writer and a feminist, her work being sampled by Beyonce, and about her husband, Dr Ivara Esege. He is a professor of medicine in Baltimore where they have a home in addition to their house in Lagos where she spends more than half of the year.

On the little things he does to show her love though they live separately a lot of the time, she say; "I do all these drawings for my clothes. Really terrible drawings. Michelle Obama Shows Off Dance Moves On Ellen's Show For #GimmeFive

First Lady Michelle Obama was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday and showed off her dance moves in a choreographed routine to Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk”. The first lady and host Ellen were joined on the dance floor by mentors Twitch and Travis, as well as the So You Think You Can Dance crew.

Before the dance, Michelle informed the show’s audience she had challenged Ellen to try out the routine as a competition. In the ensuing teases and jokes, DeGeneres explained she was “more street” when it comes to dancing, but nonetheless agreed to a dance off. She reminded Michelle that she, Ellen had won their push-up competition when the first lady was on the show last year, LOL... Watch video below..

Ashanti On Break Up With Rapper Nelly After 10 Years Of Dating

Singer Ashanti, 34, is a beautiful and wealthy young woman, and many thought she would marry rapper Nelly after the two dated for nearly 10 years. The star sat down with talk show host Meredith Vieira to talk about their break up last year among other things. While the nitty-gritty details behind their split were never really revealed, the singer explains to Vieira that it basically came down to trust. She said;;

"I think sometimes when people have their own insecurities it allows them to act out of character. I've been betrayed," she says. "Again, you just have to grow, you have to grow up and accept responsibilities for the things that you do. I'm not a big fan of people being cowards. I think it's really important to know yourself and understand what you want and get it. I'm in a different place right now."

Where is our humanity? As Christians, where is our compassion and love? An advertisement message using the picture above and promoting Pastor EA Adeboye's daily devotional, Open Heavens, has gone viral on Facebook and I find it utterly distasteful that it is supposedly coming from the camp of a man of God. I was minded to disregard the advert but I was tagged in it more than once and one of the people who started it, I noticed, is a respected member of the Redeemed Church. The message goes thus;

Kate and David Ogg were heartbroken when they were told at the premature delivery of their twins - born 2 minutes apart at just 26 weeks - that one of them had stopped breathing and had just moments to live. Thinking it was the only time they would have with the tiny boy they had already decided to name Jamie, Kate asked to be able to hold the almost lifeless child, and told David to climb into the hospital bed, shirtless - for a tender embrace.
