Washington DC - A Day At The Museum 1

Posted in: , , ,
Hi Peeps, hope your weekend has started off well? You won't guess where I am right now, Nigeria! But hey, nothing much to report. I'm still adjusting after the trip which took almost 24hrs, being searched after testing positive for explosives, jet lag, and many other traveling adventures. So while I settle down to write those down, enjoy these pictures from Washington DC. These were taken at the Museum of Natural History and the Museum of American History.

The Part Where You Apologize - Guest Post by Lilly Star

Posted in: , , , , ,

The strongest relationships stumble and when they do the ones that survive are the ones where the person who might have been wrong owns up to their mistake. It’s not just the “sorry” that counts, but the recognition with knowing you are fallible and that the person sitting across from you – that loved one from whom you seek validation and affection – understands that a brief setback isn’t a bad thing so long as reparations are made.

I have to say that since I moved to the US and started seriously watching the Bachelor series, Ashley and JP are one couple that have stood out for me. So it was with joy I saw them come out together at the last 'After the Rose' show for the Ben and Courtney, and now their wedding has been announced.

Dear Myne - Am I Making The Right Decision?

Posted in: , , , , ,

I dated this guy for 3 years, we were in the same department and class. I was faithful all through, but most of these years, I was just hanging on. This is because he had lots of attention from girls and didn't seem to care much about me, but I still kept on being in the relationship because I felt a change could occur. He called me his special girl, but he didn't treat me special.

Does Marriage Confer Special Relationship Wisdom?

Posted in: , , , ,

When I tell people that I write romance novels or that I blog mostly about issues in relationships, the next question from some of them is whether I'm married and for how long. I am sometimes tempted to answer in the negative to hear what they will say, but the replies when I answer truthfully gives me a pretty good idea.

10 Things To Know About Your Man By Iweka Kingsley

Posted in: , , , ,

A while ago, I read an article by a woman, ‘20 things women should know about their men’. I have decided to balance things up by writing the male version of the topic. I believe men have half as much drama as women do, hence, here are 10 things, from a man's point of view, that women must know about their men.

Timi Dakolo - Love Song : Music Video Romance

Posted in: ,
I think it was my first year living in Edinburgh and those days, as now I guess, I scoured the internet for Nigerian music and movies. That was the same year Timi Dakolo appeared on West African Idol. I fell in love with his voice and delivery back then, and he hasn't disappointed since.

In this soulful rendition reminiscent of some of his previous work, he nails it yet again in Love Song. Love Song is off Timi‘s latest album Beautiful Noise, and this is a fitting video by Clarence Peters.

Weekend Pictures - Visit to Seward Park in Seattle

Posted in: , , , , , ,

The other day, we were coming from a trip to the cinema and Atala suggested we slot in a quick visit to Seward Park in Seattle, one we hadn't been to before. I wasn't dressed, as per shoes, for hiking, but he promised it would be a short one. So off we went. The breeze was surprisingly strong off Lake Washington, the water you see in the pictures, and it blew my wig every which way.
