Emma McQuiston, the 26 year old daughter of Nigerian oil tycoon Ladi Jadesimi, with a British mother, made history when she married the Viscount Ceawlin Thynn, of Britain on Saturday 8th of June. Emma's Nigerian father Ladi Jadesimi was also at the wedding, to walk his daughter down the aisle.
Emma has become the first black Marchioness in Britain, and a member of the previously all white nobility. Apart from the queen I didn't know people still took those titles seriously. All the best to the couple.

ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet! Seem like a sweet loving couple, and the pictures are just so beautiful. Thanks for sharing this Myne.
ReplyDeleteHer facial features are stronly African. Its hard to believe she's mixed.
ReplyDeleteThere is not one Biracial look.People of mixed heritage come in different skin tones and shades!
Deleteshe probably knows that ....she is just stating a fact about this particular woman. Not everything is political you know?
DeleteTenk-you.
DeleteHmmn, what a decent blog. If it was LindaIkejiBlog, they would have attacked the poor girl, questioning her age and heritage....lol
ReplyDelete:). first time hearing this title..
ReplyDeleteShe must be so posh.
awww i love stories like this. I am a sucker for royalties. www.secretlilies.com
ReplyDeleteThe problem is her bloodline. Plain and simple. She does not have royal blood. That is why the Marquis is upset.
ReplyDeleteBloodlines may be irrelevant. Who was Sarah Ferguson or Kate Middleton before they caught the Princes's eyes? Then again, take Princess Diana -- ideal pedigree: pretty, not that bright, daughter of an Earl, a "lady" in every sense. Yet the marriage to Prince Charles was always problematic and ended in divorce.
DeleteWhy is she going by her mothers married name and not that of her father.
ReplyDeleteObviously there is no free speech on this site
