Isaach De Bankolé and Danai Gurira Star in Andrew Dosunmu's 'Mother of George'

Isaach De Bankolé is an Ivorien actor while Danai Gurira is an American actor born to Zimbabwean parents. Both play Nigerian immigrants in America in this new movie, Mother of George, which is written by Darci Picoult, and directed by Andrew Dosnmu.

Mother of George was a Sundance breakout movie and got lots of  praise for Danai Gurira's performance. Their cinematography also got the top award for the movie makers. Mother of George hits theaters in limited release on September 13th. Check your local theater listings for availability.

Adenike and Ayodele (Danai Gurira, Isaach De Bankolé) are a Nigerian couple living in Brooklyn. Following the joyous celebration of the their wedding, complications arise out of their inability to conceive a child - a problem that devastates their family and defies cultural expectations, leading Adenike to make a shocking decision that could either save her family or destroy it.
