Father Who Left Toddler To Die In Hot Car Sexted 6 Women That Day, Including a Teenager

The Georgia father accused of leaving his 22-month-old son in a hot car for seven hours to let him die reportedly spent the day sending sexual text messages and photos to six different women, including teenagers.

Harris told police that he forgot to drop his son off at day care and the boy was left in the hot car for the entire day. That day, Harris was exchanging sexts with various women while his son was trapped in the vehicle.

Harris has now been charged with murder and child cruelty for the death of his 22-month-old son Cooper.

On Thursday, 33-year-old Justin Ross Harris was denied bond after the judge called his crime a “possible death penalty case.”

“We plan to show that he wanted to live a child-free life,” prosecutors told the judge.

Prosecutors say that Harris searched out Reddit articles about life without children, and searched for things like what happens when animals die in hot cars and “how to survive in prison.”

Police say Ross told them that he merely “was fearful that this could happen.”

“I think the evidence now is showing intent,” Detective Phil Stoddard said.

Stoddard said both he and his wife were “unemotional” after learning of their son’s death.
