The UK's BBC3 has a new reality TV show titled Slum Survivors, which features young jobseekers who can't find work in the UK, and then the show gets them apprenticeships abroad.
The series kicks off in Lagos, which according to the BBC is a city obsessed with cars, and so the episode set in Lagos features British teens who want to be mechanics.
See photos of the reality show participants below as they fetch water, eat local delicacies, and do the local punishment, 'pick pin'. There's also a video trailer of the complete series.
For those who weren't happy with the other BBC show set in a Lagos slum, this is not a good idea. What do you think?
Show Synopsis
"After failing to find work in the UK, three individuals in a specific trade are sent to live life in the slums and learn how to work on a whole other level."
They embark on a crash course in urban survival in some of the world’s biggest slums in various countries including Nigeria, India and Indonesia.
The teens in the Lagos episode are 17-year-old Muj who says he has never worked a day in his life, 18-year-old Kayleigh a strong minded girl who hopes to become a mechanic and 19-year-old Sean who is frustrated that after studying for two years and applying for 300 jobs is still unemployed.
The teens live, eat, and breathe the life of a typical Lagos roadside garage worker, as well as get their hands dirty for 10 days.
