Covers - Angelina Jolie On Politics And Life As Mrs Pitt For Vanity Fair

Posted in: , ,

Angelina Jolie is on the cover of the December issue of Vanity Fair, with a peek at her massive engagement ring. The cover story is trailed thus; "Angelina Jolie: Visiting War Zones, Directing an Oscar Contender, and Life as Mrs. Pitt."

Inside the issue, the mother of six touched on her life in the months since her secret August wedding to Brad Pitt, her partner of almost 10 years. The couple got married in a private wedding at their home in France with their closest family and friends including their 6 children.

Angelina Jolie explained to Vanity Fair that the children were not just witnesses to the wedding but also took part in the wedding vows;

"They did not expect us never to fight, but they made us promise to always say, 'Sorry,' if we do. So they said, 'Do you?,' and we said, 'We do!'"

On how marriage has been so far for the couple, she said;

"It does feel different. It feels nice to be husband and wife."

When directly asked if she sees herself pursuing a life in politics, diplomacy, or public service, Jolie says, “I am open.”

“When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered. Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility. But I honestly don’t know in what role I would be more useful—I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that [could] make it less possible.”
