Actor Jeremy Renner and Food Network star, Giada De Laurentiis, have both called it quits on their respective marriages. As the year comes to a close, many hollywood actors and actresses seem to be splitting up with partbers in what looks like cleaning up for the new year.
Jeremy Renner and his wife, model Sonni Pacheco are divorcing after 11 months of marriage, while Giada De Laurentiis' marriage lasted for 11 years.
The chef opened up on the state of her marriage with a brief note on her Facebook page, saying;
After an amicable separation since July, Todd and I have decided to end our marriage. Although our decision to separate comes with a great deal of sadness, our focus on the future and overwhelming desire for our family's happiness has given us the strength to move forward on separate, yet always connected paths. Todd and I share a beautiful daughter and a lifetime of great memories that we both treasure more than anything. We are so thankful for our friends and family, and really appreciate the support in this time of change.
The news about Jeremy Renner's divorce was broken by TMZ after they obtained the court documents that Renner's wife had filed on Dec. 5 in Los Angeles citing irreconcilable differences.
The couple had kept their marriage secret until a few months ago, when the actor opened up in a September interview and gushed about his daughter. The divorce filing showed that they got married on Jan. 13 and separated on Nov. 29.
Pacheco, at 23, is 20 years younger than Jeremy Renner, 43, and wants physical custody of the couple's daughter Ava Berlin, 2. She asked that joint legal custody and visitation be granted to Renner, while also asking for spousal support and reimbursement for moving expenses.
The filing also claims the prenup she signed should be disregarded since it was based on fraud and states that Renner has her passport, birth certificate and Social Security card, which she wants returned.
