North Korea Threatens Action Against White House, Pentagon And US Mainland

Posted in: , , ,

North Korea has released a statement threatening attacks against the U.S. government and other citadels in America including the Pentagon. This is following the hack on SONY which led to the studio pulling The Interview movie which centers around the assasination of North Korean president, Kim Jung Un.

The North Korea government denies they are behind the SONY attack, but have made it obvious from the start that they are outraged by the film. They called the hacking a righteous deed even as they offered to work on a joint inquiry with the US authorities to fish out those behind it.

On Friday, the FBI blamed North Korea for the attack which President Obama, in an interview broadcast Sunday on CNN called, "an act of cybervandalism," not war. The president also said the US government would retaliate against North Korea, and this appears to have further angered the North Koreans.

In an English post published by the state news agency KCNA, and directed specifically at the US,  Korean authorities say they will attack the White House - while insisting that the US government is behind the making of the film. North Korea also accused U.S. President Barack Obama for trying to go on an offensive against them, and promise retribution. Parts of the statement reads;

"The DPRK has clear evidence that the U.S. administration was deeply involved in the making of such dishonest reactionary movie."

"The DPRK has already launched the toughest counteraction. Nothing is more serious miscalculation than guessing that just a single movie production company is the target of this counteraction. Our target is all the citadels of the U.S. imperialists who earned the bitterest grudge of all Koreans."

"Our toughest counteraction will be boldly taken against the White House, the Pentagon and the whole U.S. mainland, the cesspool of terrorism."

"The army and people of the DPRK are fully ready to stand in confrontation with the U.S. in all war spaces including cyber warfare space to blow up those citadels."

The report also added that "fighters for justice" including the "Guardians of Peace" -- a group that has claimed responsibility for the Sony hack -- "are sharpening bayonets not only in the U.S. mainland but in all other parts of the world.
