Intouch magazine made the cover above of Bruce Jenner back in January with sources telling them Bruce would come out any time soon. Last week, an unnamed family member came out to say that Bruce Jenner was really “transitioning to a woman”, and now his mother has confirmed the reports saying she's more proud of him than when he got his Olympic gold.
Speaking to RadarOnline, Esther Jenner said; 'I just learned about [his transition]. Bruce filled me in, and we had a very long, long, long talk about it. I have never been more proud of Bruce for who he is, himself as a father, as an Olympian, a wonderful public speaker. He instills enthusiasm in people. He's gifted.'
She added that she was unaware of his wishes until very recently, but commented further that she is right behind him through his journey.
'Right now I am more proud of him for what he’s allowing himself to do. I am more proud of him now than when he stood on that podium and put the gold medal around his neck. He deserves all the respect. I support him whole-heartedly. I just love him like I always have.'
And why, after all these years, is Bruce speaking out now? Esther said that even in his most challenging moment, Bruce is thinking of the millions he may help, and that it will all be worth it if "he can help other people with emotional problems."
Bruce Jenner, ex-husband of Kris Jenner and step-dad of the famous Kardashian sisters, has been dogged for months with reports and rumors that he was transitioning into a woman. So now we know it's a done deal, can they premiere the reality TV show? I hope that's not what all this is about...
Anyways, it has been reported that Bruce Jenner is planning to sit down for an interview to come out as transgender and discuss transitioning. BuzzFeed News has confirmed that Diane Sawyer of ABC News was in the final stages of negotiating the interview as of last week.
Jenner’s coming out will be timed with the announcement of a docuseries that has been following Jenner and the extended Kardashian-Jenner family. The upcoming reality series will air on E!, the NBC Universal cable channel that has broadcast the lives of this famous family since 2007.
