Remember the song ‘Because I Got High’? That's Afroman, and that is him above as seen at his show in Biloxi where a disturbing video has emerged of the musician slapping a woman so hard in the face that she falls down
The 40-year-old singer seemed to be playing, and the female fan somehow made her way onto the stage. With no warning, Afroman swung his fist around, hitting her and knocking her to the ground.
The punch got her in the face while she was dancing behind him on stage, but she managed to get up on her own and walk off the stage. The rest of the crowd did not seem so shocked though one man got up on the stage like he wanted to help the woman.
According to TMZ, Afroman was eventually escorted off stage by cops, who arrested him outside for assault. So far the reasons for his assault are unknown. Maybe he was high?
UPDATE
Afroman went on TMZ to try to explain his violent outburst. He apologized and said he thought the lady he knocked down was a man that had been heckling him. However, he admitted he has a problem and will be seeking help.
“I’m here to apologize. I’m going to find some help. This is the second time this has happened. I am going to call time out. I came to sing. I didn’t come to go to jail. I came to sing to my fans. I need some anxiety management.”
“The club was supposed to have security to control the crowd. Security was nowhere to be seen. There were three wrongs and I’m just trying to fix my wrong now.”
He told TMZ that he has anxiety problems, but he finds it irritating when he is performing, “trying to pay my bills” and people try to mess up his show.
