Chimamanda Adichie Pregnant! Debuts Baby Bump at Farafina Trust Literary Evening

Initial reports that award winning Nigerian author, feminist speaker and writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is pregnant have been confirmed as more photos emerge from the recent Farafina Trust Literary evening. The event is a conclusion and award giving opportunity for participants in the annual writing workshop put together by Chimamanda every year.

Chimamanda had had a very busy past few months that included an appearance and speech while receiving an award at Girls Write Now, and also a commencement speech for graduating college students at Wellesley. After concluding the writing workshop in Lagos, Chimamanda has now returned to be with her husband in the US where she will give birth.This will be the first child for Chimamanda, married to Dr. Ivara Esegee. Nollywood actress, Stephanie Linus, and her husband, Linus Idahosa both attended the Queen’s Young Leaders Awards on Monday, June 22nd, 2015 at the Buckingham Palace where they met the Queen among other young people selected for the award.The couple also met legendary footballer David Beckham at the event.

Her publicist shared the news with The Hollywood Reporter earlier today. The couple got married secretly in June last year. I'd heard about the baby bump rumors but decided not to blog about it till Zoe and her husband were ready to share.

Zoe is currently promoting her new movie – Guardians Of The Galaxy, and with haing to step out on the red carpet along the way, I guess there was no way they could have kept the news quiet any more.
