I can just imagine the pressure mounted on John and Love Kumuyi from these stuck-in-the-mud church leaders to get to this point. I won't be surprised if the Lagos church fabricated the apology themselves so their cherished tradition can be upheld in the eyes of those they lead around by the nose. God help us all.

The EbonyLife TV Launch took place yesterday June 30 at the Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos. The new TV channel will start broadcasting this month first to Africa and hopefully to a larger audience in the UK, US and more. Lots of people in the entertainment industry came out to support Mo Abudu, the CEO of EbonyLife.
Does it Really Matter Who Makes The Money in a Relationship?
One of the judges of Britain's Got Talent, Alesha Dixon announced last week that she was pregnant with Nigerian boyfriend, Azuka Ononye's child. Before then, their relationship had been private, and it seems for good reason too. Azuka is a dancer who comes from humble beginnings and still earns less than his star girlfriend. Like a lot less.

He was born Olanrewaju Fasasi but is better known by his music stage name, Sound Sultan. Sound Sultan and Chichi Morah, who was a Christian and Igbo, got married in 2009. Since Sound Sultan is a devout Muslim, Chichi converted to Islam after getting married and adopted the Islamic name “Farida”. The couple have two children, and from these recent pictures, they are still enjoying their love. Sweet.
Flavour - Ada Ada [Music Video Romance]
Flavor N'Abania's Ada Ada is a wedding anthem, and the music video is shot like an Igbo traditional wedding. I'm a fan of Flavor, but this song is not my favorite though I like the lyrics. The video is also very clear and well put together. Enjoy!
Some Safety Tips For Women
These tips are supposed to be from the experts but all I could find was that it was posted by a crime alert FB page located out of South Africa sent to them as a chain mail. I wouldn't post it, except I see a lot of sense in some of the tips. There are pointers on what a woman could do if she feels unsafe in a lonely place like a lift or corridor, in a taxi, or in a garage. Read and share your thoughts.

Among all the 200 and more of the various Nigerian cultures, the Benin Kingdom stands out as one of the oldest, longest surviving, and also most colorful. The monarch of Benin, Oba Erediuwa recently celebrated his 90th birthaday and his four wives were there to support him, as well as his children, the governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomole among others. The Oba himself was not able to make it to this particular event, and his first son represented him.

Mercy Johnson - Motherhood Changes Women
It's so sweet that Mercy Johnson is still gushing about love in her marriage, and how she is enjoying being a new mother. She seems to be keeping it real too, and her transition to motherhood has made her more down to earth and encouraged her to give to others who may not be as privileged. In a recent interview, she talks about the things close to her heart right now;
Real Housewives' Nene Leakes Remarries Her Husband Gregg
Nene Leakes is someone I had previously seen more of in the NBC comedy The New Normal, but I also knew she came to fame as being on the cast of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. During our last vacation, I got to watch several episodes of the RHOA reunion. One of story strands was that Nene had just got engaged to her husband, Gregg Leakes, whom she had divorced after they had some issues, and they would be walking down the aisle again soon.
