Married Man Beats His Widowed Mistress To Death For Having Another Lover

A 45-year-old married man has been charged for allegedly killing his concubine on the suspicion that she was dating another man.

The Abia State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps paraded the suspect, Nwokeoma Ohuaba, who they said had become infuriated when he caught the woman with another man during an unscheduled visit to her place.

During an ensuing altercation as he confronted her after the alleged lover had fled for dear life, Ohuaba is said to have hit the victim, Charity Onwutaebe, in the head with a piece of iron.

Charity was a widow and mother of three children with her late husband.

The Wives, a play written by Professor Ahmed Yerima, will be showing at the Muson Centre in Onikan, Lagos from the 9 - 11 October, 2014 with a cast including Joke Silva, Kate Henshaw, Jide Kosoko, Iretiola Doyle, Lala Akindoju and others.

The play focuses on the intriguing character called Chief Theophilus Gbadegeshin Olowookere, his sister and his three wives, Angela, Cecilia and Tobi.

“In The Wives, the question ‘can a man keep his most cherished secrets forever?’ is the central theme of the play. There lies a sordid little secret and no one wants to talk about it. It is a dark comedy rich in sensuality and scathing humour.”

Becky Hammon Makes History - Named NBA's Second Female Coach For Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs made history on Tuesday, hiring six-time WNBA all-star Becky Hammon as an assistant coach. Hammon, who is currently finishing up her 16th year as a player in the women’s league, will become the first female assistant coach in the NBA when she begins the job.

“I very much look forward to the addition of Becky Hammon to our staff,” Spurs Head Coach Gregg Popovich said in an NBA press release. “Having observed her working with our team this past season, I’m confident her basketball IQ, work ethic and interpersonal skills will be a great benefit to the Spurs.”

Hammon will be on the regular season, full-time coaching staff of the Spurs.

Woman Sets Sleeping Husband on Fire For Sexually Assualting Their 7-Year-Old Daughter

52-year-old Vincent Phillips was set on fire by his wife while he was sleeping for allegedly molesting the couple's 7-year-old-daughter. Luckily, he was able to drag himself into a convenience store where he asked people to call police.

Both Mr. Phillips and his wife, 40- year-old Tatanysha Hedman, of Washington State were arrested.

Tatanysha told police that she set her husband on fire because he sexually assaulted his 7-year-old stepdaughter.
