Pope Francis Says Moms Can Breastfeed In Sistine Chapel During Baptism - And In Public Too

At an annual baptism event at the Sistine Chapel on Sunday, Pope Francis urged the mothers present to breastfeed their babies "without thinking twice" as the children "are the most important people here."

His brief sermon was focused on the 32 infants he was baptizing, and the pope echoed the sentiments of Jesus about children. This is not the first time that Pope Francis would be speaking on this issue. Last month in an Italian newspaper, he chided moms not be embarrassed about breastfeeding their babies in public, using a personal story about a mom and her hungry newborn.

David Cameron of United Kingdom, Angela Merkel of Germany, Isreal's Benjamin Netanyahu and others joined French president, Francois Hollande, and thousands of France nationals in a solidarity march on the streets of Paris this afternoon.

The march is to protest the killing of 12 people last wednesday including the top cartoonists for the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine. The march began in Place de la République and will end at Place de la Nation. French officials estimate over 1.3 million people are gathered together in what will be one of the city’s biggest gatherings in decades.
