Kemi Omotoyinbo, a dancer, who danced for several popular musicians including Pasuma, KWAM 1 and Shina Peters, has died during childbirth. The pretty lady, who doubled as a choreographer and actress, died in a private hospital in Lagos yesterday October 1st. This was exactly 20 days after her wedding to husband Godwin Eloanyi on September the 13th at the White House Event Hall, Toyin Street, Ikeja.

Nigerian Military Says New Shekau Video From Boko Haram is Fake

Abubakar Shekau, the Boko Haram leader, had in a new video [here] released today by AFP dismissed reports that the military killed him in a recent gun battle, but the miliatary is quickly debunking the video.

The Nigeria military insists that the Shekau in the video, who they say is really Mohammed Bashir, was killed last month. They say the video is fake, has no date and is yet to be verified. They said this in a statement posted on the Defense HQ website.

First Patient Diagnosed With Ebola in the US Named and Identified, How He Travelled To America

Thomas Duncan, a Liberian citizen, has been identified and named as the first patient to be diagnosed with Ebola in the US. The 42-year-old had gone to the United States to visit family and friends before falling ill with the Ebola Virus Disease.

The New York Times reports that Duncan had direct contact with an Ebola infected pregnant woman in Liberia on September 15, four days before he left for the United States. The woman's parents and Duncan's neighbors in Monrovia, Liberia, said Duncan had helped carry the sick woman home after a hospital turned her away because there wasn't enough space in its Ebola treatment ward.

Boko Haram Leader Shekau Releases New Video Refuting Reports Of His Death

Boko Haram Leader, Abubakar Shekau, has dismissed reports that the military killed him while appearing in a new video obtained by AFP.

The new 36-minute video showed Shekau, in combat fatigues and black rubber boots, standing on the back of a pick-up truck and firing an anti-aircraft gun into the air.

Standing in front of three camouflaged vans and flanked by four heavily armed, masked fighters, he then speaks for 16 minutes in Arabic and Hausa.
