I get quite a number of requests for the website mentioned in this post about a sex toy shop in Nigeria. Luckily the owner of that shop sent in a comment to the post with more details about how the business is run. They now run sex therapy and counselling sessions for the couples and ladies that need or ask for it, as well as training with buyers :)

So SEX and having a healthy sexual life is always an issue in which people go fundamental on bearing in mind their religious leanings.

In terms of selecting and buying products, great care is taken in buying what women ASK for. We have reviewers, I know. Your wondering who are these people? But, there are several women in comfortable relationships who have not left the shores of Nigeria who are keen to ensure their intimate life does not suffer. Even after child bearing.

We're yet to be very open when it comes to sex.Although our generation is trying to be open,but the older generation are still shying away from talking about it.

ReplyDeleteAre you a psychologist/psychiatrist? I ask because you said it was 'not in your plan' to provide counselling. If you are not, does a qualified professional offer these services on your behalf? The human mind is dangerous to mess with. I don't think just anyone should go in there.
ReplyDeleteYes, this is a welcome development in Nigeria. A lot of people shy away from anything sex like its forbidden, but most people don't mind talking about it to a third party. There a lots of married people out there looking for a solution to problems they experience in their marriages which includes sex. More awareness and people will begin to come around.
