Eminem Threathening Iggy Azalea With Violent Rape in New Song is Totally Unaccaptable!

Posted in: , ,

Eminem is getting a lot of completely justified heat online for using rape as a metaphor for cutting Iggy Azalea down to size in a new track titled 'Vegas', in which he also praises Nicki Minaj.

Rappers in general are known for their lyrics, and often they engage in dissing their rivals and other rappers through their music. Eminem in particular is more known for his disturbingly dark material some detailing his problems with his family, his mother, ex-wife, daughter and his fantasies of harming them or even killing them.

The 42 year old rapper may be a man of his times, having been working in the industry since the misogynistic beginnings of rap in the 90s, but graphically describing violence and rape against Iggy Azalea is way beyond the pale.

The song premiered on iTunes yesterday Wednesday Nov 19th, and has some of the following lines;

'B****, shut the f*** up and get in my car. And suck my f***ing d*** while I take a s***.
'And I think with my d*** so come blow my mind. And it tastes like humble pie. So swallow my pride, you're lucky just to follow my ride,'

'If I let you run alongside the Humvee. Unless you're Nicki, grab you by the wrist, let's ski. So what's it gon' be? Put that s*** away Iggy. You don't wanna blow that rape whistle on me. Scream! I love it. 'Fore I get lost with the gettin' off.'

This is just totally unacceptable! Praising another women in the same breath does not get you off the hook as far as I'm concerned.

20 years ago, so many people did not have the same issues they have these days. Now, mental health issues are on the rise, people commit suicide more often, harm themselves, and hurt others.

There is evidence that more and more people are largely affected by what they see in movies and books, the music they listen to, or the games they play. The young people who listen to the kind of music that Eminem makes, they are especially vulnerable and impressionable.

Creatives have to be more responsible.
