Flavour - Baby Oku : Music Video Romance

This video is in two parts - the first is slow and romantic and the other is dancehall. While I prefer the song in the first part, the chemistry between Flavour and his leading lady is as flat as mud water and so the dancing before the end looks even more interesting. Enjoy!

I'm not a big fan of either Lynxxx or Wizkid's music, but I loved this video. OK, let me qualify that. I like Lynxxx. Who can't help but crush on such a fine specimen of bobo nkiti? The guy is just too clean, some people will say God made him on a Sunday. Back to the Fine Lady video, LOL...though the music is so-so, the quality of the pictures and the setting made it stand out. But that's not the main reason I liked this video. Who can guess?

Adele - Set Fire To The Rain

Adele, whom I featured in Chasing Pavements, announced in June that she was expecting her first baby with boyfriend Simon Konecki. Adele and Simon began dating this January and made their first public appearance at the Grammys in February. The latest gist is that the Simon will be proposing to Adele soon and the baby is due in just a couple of months. Congrats to them. I wonder if the singer will begin happy romantic songs afterwards? Timi Dakolo - Love Song : Music Video Romance

I think it was my first year living in Edinburgh and those days, as now I guess, I scoured the internet for Nigerian music and movies. That was the same year Timi Dakolo appeared on West African Idol. I fell in love with his voice and delivery back then, and he hasn't disappointed since.

In this soulful rendition reminiscent of some of his previous work, he nails it yet again in Love Song. Love Song is off Timi‘s latest album Beautiful Noise, and this is a fitting video by Clarence Peters.

P-Square - Beautiful Onyinye ft. Rick Ross

P-Square recently signed a promotion and distribution deal with Universal Music Group, and off the back of that released this video for their song, Beautiful Onyinye. The video features American rapper Rick Ross. Most Nigerian hip-hop artistes are going international, which is good, but it is even better that they are able to keep the core of themselves. Romance Meets Music: Omawumi - Bottom Belle ft. Flavour

When I first heard it, I loved the highlife spin which Omawunmi, with the help of Flavor N'Abania, brought to this song. The video for Bottom Belle is finally here, and I have to say that I was a bit disappointed. Directed by Clarence Peters, there are several picture frame shots, and not only has this been done before, but done better. And maybe my expectations were high after the funny skit in the video for Omawunmi's If You Ask Me. Still though, this is a fun video, and the song remains classic.

Robin Thicke's Lost Without You - Romance Meets Music

Robin Thicke is currently judging the show, Duets, and I'm reminded why he's such a soul master. The guy makes good music and he's on point with the romantic "love jones" character. It is also the case that Robin Thicke is married to beautiful actress, Paula Patton, who once in a while graces his music videos.

I first discovered Robin Thicke in Lost Without You, before I knew the lady in the video was his wife. And even though I know celebs don't have it easy when it comes to relationships, you can't help but wish them the best. In the videos below, he and Paula Patton share a captivating chemistry! No need to ask who his muse is :)

Kelly Clarkson - Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)

This week has been a time of ups and downs for me, so this is a bit personal. But I'm sure so many out there can identify with this as well. Those who have had their heart broken in one way or another, by a significant other, a job they didn't get, losing someone they love, etc. What doesn't kill us will make us stronger for sure.

MI's Loving Me - Romance Meets Music

I'm not a big fan of rap music but a rap track will often get to me depending on the method of delivery, the music behind the rap as well as the hook, usually a sang chorus. All three come together in MI’s “Loving Me” which is from his new album, Illegal Music 2.
