3 Days Old Baby Stuns Mother And Doctors By Holding And Feeding Herself From A Bottle!

Posted in: , ,

Onyi Chiedozie, a Nigerian based in the UK has shared how her daughter Amara, learnt to feed herself at just 3 days old. Still less than three weeks old, the baby now regularly holds her bottle to feed and pushes it aside when she is full.

Baby Amara was born to Onyi Chiedozie, a single mother, on August 3rd at the Queen’s Hospital, Romford, Essex, weighing 6lb 3oz. Onyi says;

“I just think she has a lot of strength, I’m not sure why though as she wasn’t particularly heavy when she was born. When she doesn’t want it she will push it away. She isn’t strong enough to throw it away, but she does push it away, like she does with her dummy. If she is really hungry, she starts shaking, then she will just grab the bottle as you give it to her.”

These Passengers Missed MH17 By Minutes While Another Died After Changing Flights To Get On

Posted in: , , ,

Time and chance, they say, happens to us all. As more news about the crashed Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 come out, you want to simply break down and cry. The grief is overwhelming for the almost 300 people that died, and yet there are glimmers of relief for a few that were saved in one way or another.

Barry and Izzy Sim (above) were planning to travel to Kuala Lumpur with their young baby on Flight MH17 but were told by staff at Amsterdam's Schiphol airport that the plane was too full.

The family was then given seats on a later KLM flight, that would depart at a later time. The couple cancelled the KLM flight after the wife refused to fly when they heard that MH17 had crashed.

Barry Sim and his wife spoke of their reactions after he hearing the plane they so desperately wanted to board was shot down.

Posted in: , , , ,

For their 61st anniversary this year, 87-Year-Old Bob Phillips decided to write his wife Gail, a love letter and publish it in their local newspaper, the Charlotte Observer. He wrote:

Dear Gail,
I look at newspaper pictures of new brides every Sunday. I’m searching. I want to see if there is now or ever will be another bride as lovely as you. Been doing that since June 27, 1953.

Actually, I already know the answer. There is not — and never will be to me – your equal in loveliness. On our wedding day you were the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. The delightful truth is that you still are.

How Paul Walker Bought A $9,000 Engagement Ring For A Military Couple Before His Death

Posted in: , ,

Paul Walker might have been most famous for his Fast and Furious movies, but what most people don't know is that he was actually a very generous man. When he bumped into a military couple shopping for an engagement ring in 2004, he bought the ring for them. After his death, the couple decided to testify of his generosity.

Kyle Upham and his fianceĆ© were browsing a jewelry store in Santa Barbara in 2004 — just before Kyle was deployed to Iraq for a second tour of duty — when a fellow shopper began to help them with their engagement ring purchase.

“I noticed there was someone else in there, but didn’t give it much thought, and we started looking at rings and whatnot, and he kept saying, ‘Go bigger’ and I kept saying, ‘No, look at the prices,’” Kristen Upham, who is now married to Kyle, says.

Kyle began talking with the stranger and realized it was Paul Walker.

US Army Officer Was Forced to Resign For Going Native With Girlfriend In Afghanistan, They're Now Married

Posted in: , , ,

A top Green Beret in the US Army was forced to resign in 2012 after it was discovered he was carrying on a year-long affair with a woman whom he had unofficially embedded in his Afghanistan unit.

Major Jim Gant, had on military orders “went native,” with his troops in the mountains of Afghanistan but authorities didn't know that his lover, Ann Scott Tyson, had quit her job and left her family to live with him.

He was soon reprimanded and relieved of his duties for “immoral and illegal activities and actions,” with his fellow officers and subordinates testifying that he was often “intoxicated and under the influence of pain medications.”

14-Year-Old Girl Who Escaped Her Older Husband And Gets A Divorce Tells Her Story

Posted in: , , ,

Maimuna Abdullahi was sold into marriage by her parents for £120 and abused by her new husband, who locked her away and forced hard labour on her.

When she ran home she was beaten, first by her father, then her husband, and was summarily divorced by her husband for daring to flee – and she is still just 14 years old.

She is one of thousands in Nigeria with similar stories – and, shockingly, her husband blames his beaten former bride for her ordeal, saying she was disobedient and over-educated.

Maimuna’s former husband, Mahammadu Saidu, blames her few years of school for her disobedience. A handsome man of 28 who is obviously proud of his ankle-high boots, he does not deny beating his wife.
‘She had too much ABCD,’ he says. ‘Too much ABCD.’

Mom and Son She Had At 13 Years Receive PhD On The Same Day

Posted in: , , ,

What an outstanding achievement. A Georgia mom, Vickie McBride and her son, Maurice McBride, who she had at the young age of 13, both received their PhDs on the same day and from the same school.

At th beginning of their journey, the former teenage mom thought that goal was impossible, saying;

"I had to figure out how to work and how to parent and how to manage school all at the same time."

Dr. Vickie McBride's mother, a retired teacher, helped out with little Maurice while she went back to school after her son was born. Her now grown up son, Dr. Maurice McBride, is justifiably proud of his mom.

Former Convict Saves a Baby That Almost Crawled Into a Busy Highway

Posted in: , , ,

Bryant Collins was driving on a Georgia highway when he caught a glimpse of something crawling on the grass, next to the busy highway that looked like a baby. Bryant Collins pulled over, carried the baby and then called 911.

Turns out the small child had crawled out of her home about 300 yards away. She went through the woods, down a small embankment — and might have continued into the highway were it not for Collins.

Emergency crews arrived and police arrested the child's father, Timothy Pickens, and will likely arrest the child's mother as well.

Thankfully, the child was not hurt, according to Madison County sheriff Kip Thomas.
