Taraba Gets First Elected Female Governor In Nigeria!
Taraba state in northern Nigeria may have just elected the first elected female governor in Nigeria in the person of Senator Jumai Aisha Alhassan of APC! Although the votes have not been officially announced by INEC, she is leading the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Darius Ishaku, in Taraba state by a wide margin.
When announced, Alhassan will be the first elected female governor in the history of Nigeria. Though she is by no means the first female governor in Nigeria’s democratic history, she is set to be the first elected female governor ever recorded.
Nigerian and Proud! Marathoner Tee Morgan Is First Nigerian At The North Pole!
Wow, she did it! Remember Tee Morgan, that 42 year old mom of four who runs marathons? I shared her story back in March Here. Above is Tee, Nigerian and proud at the north pole! She shared the picture on her Facebook page with the caption;
Today I raised the Nigerian flag to become the first Nigerian to ever step foot on the North Pole and to run a marathon. Words fail me to express how am feeling. The weather was -41C. I fought really hard to finish this race. I am grateful to God for helping me.

Meet Bearded Lady With PCOS Who Loves Herself As She Is [Photos]
Harnaam Kaur, 24, from the UK, suffers from polycystic ovary syndrome, a reproductive condition that can lead to male-pattern hair growth in some women, and says she now loves her beards and have stopped trying to get rid of it. Harnaam said hair on her chin started growing when she was just 11 years old and she had to endure years of bullying and people making fun of her.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a health problem that can affect a woman's hormone levels, periods, and ovulation, as well as fertility and pregnancy. Acne, excessive hair growth, and weight gain are some of the physical symptons of PCOS in some women.

Inspirational Burns Victim Turia Pitt Shows Off New Nose [Photos]
27-year-old marathoner Turia Pitt has had a long road back to health after suffering horrific burns during a fire at the ultra-marathon run in Western Australia in 2011. She spent two years in hospital and had seven fingers amputated during an endless series of operations.
Turia told Woman’s Day magazine she has now reached what she’s hopes will be the last big milestone in her long recovery - getting a long dreamed of new nose. Following a further operation to ‘refine her nose and widen her nostrils’, Turia says she's planning to participate in the Melbourne Ironman next year.

Branded the World's ugliest woman by online trolls, Lizzie Velasquez is pushing back with the anti-bullying documentary which describes her battle with Marfan syndrome and lipodystrophy, rare conditions which stops her putting on weight, and have cost her the sight in one eye.

Bold and Breastless Cancer Survivor Shares Her Testimony
Most women who are diagnosed with breast cancer, and chose to get a double mastectomy, usually get breast implants at the same time or soon after their surgery. But a few choose not to, and go on with their flat chests, either to wear padded bras or prosthetics.
However, this Facebook user, a mom of two and cancer survivor, calls herself Bold and Breastless, and often goes out in public, confident and thankful for her health and without self pity for her missing breasts. Read her testimony below..

Kenyan Runner Crawls To Finish Line at Austin Marathon, Makes 3rd Place

29-year-old Kenyan marathon runner, Hyvon Ngetich, was in the lead at the Austin Marathon, and on her way to winning the race, when she hit the wall and collapsed to the ground. In running this is when your body begins to break down from long distance effort. In Hyvon's case, it happened all of a sudden, with just two-tenths of a mile left to run.
Unable to walk or run, medical personnel offered Ngetich a wheelchair, intending to take her off the tracks. But determined to finish the race, she declined and proceeded to crawl to the finish line. She eventually finished in third place for women.

Woman With Paralysed Arms Uses Her Feet For All Chores, Even Shaving Her Husband
Chinese Bai Aixiang is a master of all trades, she cooks, washes, embroiders, and even shaves her husband’s head with her feet. She contracted polio at the age of 12 which left her hands permanently deformed while a later disease robbed her of what little use she had left.
Her loving husband is 70-year-old Chinese man and she loves him so much that she shaves his head with her feet. The couple have been married for almost 17 years and live in Heyuan, in north-western China’s Ningxia Hui autonomous region.

Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde kicked off her Omotola @ 20 world tour with a dinner on Saturday January 24, 2015. The Nigerian superstar has continued the celebration by visiting Stella Maris College, Abuja.
Awarded as a Nollywood icon by both the AGN in Nigeria and Time Magazine USA, Omotola says her love for the school dates back to the time she was working on Ije, with Chineze Anyene. Anyene is from the family that owns the school and her film had received funding from the school.
The students described Omotola as a living legend and confessed to being inspired by her success story. In her speech, Omotoal encouraged the students to believe in themselves.

Lola Okoye Opens Up - Molested By Catholic Priest & Abused By First Boyfriend
Lola Omotayo Okoye opened up at the recently held Kinabuti Dare2Dream Project in Lagos where she was invited to address young girls. Lola felt the best example she could give, was to use a certain aspect of her life to explain herself better to the girls.
She explained how a priest molested her while in high school, how bitter she was to herself and the reasons she couldn’t tell anyone including her family who loves her so much. She later met another man in life, and the story repeated itself before finally meeting Peter of P-Square and the rest as they say is history.

Christian motivational speaker Nick Vujicic, who was born without arms and legs, has recently released some pictures with his young son.
Nick married his wife Kanae Miyahara in 2012 and the couple were blessed with their adorable son, Kiyoshi just a year later [see baby pics]. The little boy is now a year and 8months.
