Brave Nigerian Health Volunteers Battling Ebola Virus In Liberia [Photos]
Nigerian Volunteers from different health professions numbering up to 250 offered themselves to join the international force in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea to assist in the containment of Ebola Virus disease in these countries.
While Nigerians are happy and rejoicing following the victory against the deadly Ebola Virus which was totally cleansed from the country, our brave and selfless 'soldiers' are in Monrovia town in Liberia facing a different kind of battle. More power to their elbows.

Actor Idris Elba plays a soccer coach in a new public health campaign, with his team is about to go out and play against Ebola. He gives them the required pep talk as he paces in the locker room..
"This is not an ordinary game. This is life or death. Ebola has defeated thousands in West Africa. Its key strength is passing."
His pep talk is part of sending the right message about Ebola to the right people at the right time. West Africans love football a lot, and hopefully, this ad will catch on.

Facebook Provides Ebola Donate Button For Users To Give Directly To Charities
Last month, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, announced that he and his wife were donating $25 million to help fight Ebola, through the Centers for Disease Control Foundation to empower all those fighting the deadly virus around the world.
Today, Facebook has added an Ebola button so that individual users who want to donate to charities fighting the disease can do that directly from their profile pages.

Nurse Kaci Hickox Disregards Ebola Quarantine, Goes On Bicycle Ride With Boyfriend
Kaci Hickox, 33, returned from working in hospitals treating Ebola in Sierra Leone last week and has since challenged the mandatory 21 days quarantine imposed on exposed health workers.
Three days ago, she left hospital where she had been put under surveillance to return to her home, and today, a new video shows her going on a bike ride with her boyfriend.

School Boys From Senegal Called “Ebola” And Beaten Up In New York School
Two brothers, 11 and 13 years old, have been beaten up by their fellow school mates in the playground after being bullied with calls of “Ebola.” Though they were born here, the boys emigrated to the United States from Senegal about a month ago, and were in the sixth and eight grade respectively.

Man Jailed After Sick Joke That Ex-Wife Had Ebola
60-year-old Emanuel Smith was arrested on Wednesday and charged with inducing panic in a public place after he told a dealer at the Horseshoe Casino in Cleveland that his wife has contracted the deadly virus.
The gambler had gone into further details to the dealer, claiming that his ex-wife traveled to Cleveland from the Ebola-stricken region of West Africa, and that he was gambling to avoid seeing her, the Ohio Casino Commission said.

Second Nurse With Ebola Was Planning Her Wedding, Visited Bridal Shop With Friends
Amber Vinson, 29, was confirmed yesterday as having contracted Ebola after treating Liberian Thomas Eric Duncan at a Texas hospital. It was also revealed that Amber had visited her hometown in Ohio last weekend while being monitored for Ebola, and had taken a commercial flight from Cleveland to Dallas just a day before she was hospitalized.
Now, reports say that Amber Vinson travelled to Ohio because she was planning her wedding. Also, though Amber stayed close to home during the monitoring, she had visited an East Tallmadge Ave. bridal shop with five friends to shop for her wedding gown.

The second nurse to contract Ebola at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital has been identified as Amber Jay Vinson, 29, from Akron, Ohio. The nurse will be transferred to the CDC monitored Emory University Hospital in Atlanta later today.
