Dakore On How She Met & Married Husband, Cutting Dreadlocks, And Getting Back To Acting

Nollywood actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande took some time off work when she got married and this gave rise to a lot of rumors that she was done with the profession. However, in a new interview, the mom-of-two explains that she did it so as the find the right balance to managing her home and her career.

Another rumor that has also trailed the actress since her marriage was that she married her husband, Olu Akande – son of Ibadan-born billionaire, Chief Harry Akande - because of his money. In this interview, Dakore opens up about how they met and married for love, and goes on to discuss her return to acting, cutting her hair, and being a wife and mother. Newlywed Ibinabo Fiberesima On How She Prayed and Wept in Search of Husband

Ibinabo Fiberesima got married over the last two days to new husband Ben Uche Egbuka, who she had known back in university and only recently rekindled a relationship with. In a new interview with ThisDay coming just after her white wedding yesterday, she opens up on what attracted him to her, and the roles played by their kids, as well as how her ex- Fred Amata - feels about the marriage.

Ibinabo adds that she's blossoming, saying "that is what happens when you are in love. I have found my soul mate, my friend, my brother and that’s why I am glowing."

Nigerian writer, Jude Dibia, wrote the first book in Nigeria to deal openly and honestly about how gay people live real lives in Nigeria. He says bookstores in Nigeria refused to sell the book, but through word of mouth it became his best-selling novel.

After he received death threats following Nigeria’s anti-gay laws, Jude Dibia has been forced to leave the country and now lives in the United States. In a recent interview with Voice of Africa, Dibia speaks about being gay in Nigeria, an unfunny experience that leads many to fake lives.

Chris Rock - Let's Hope America Keeps Producing Nicer White People

49-year-old comedian Chris Rock continues to say it as it is. After a recent SNL skit on 9/11 that went viral, and in the run-up to his new movie Top Five, Chris Rock has an interview in the New York Magazine, Vulture. There he speaks on topics ranging from race relations in America, the recent rape allegations against Bill Cosby, and his thoughts on female comedians.

Apart from politics, Chris Rock also referenced other comedians. He said Bill Cosby was among the few other comedians who were "disdainful" to him when he was first starting out in his career early on, but adds that "he turned pretty quick."

Ayokunle Falomo is the author of Thread, This Wordweaver Must : A Collection of Poems. He started writing when he was about six. Ayokunle says it began with writing short stories, at times adapting stories of authors he enjoyed reading.

Later, starting from about age 9, he was writing and directing plays for the children department of the church he attended then.
