The giant condom was erected over a large obelisk statue at Hyde Park in Sydney, Australia as part of an advance World AIDS Day campaign to raise awareness of the need to use protection against AIDS, HIV and other STD’s.

The campaign is being run by New South Wales agency ACON for HIV prevention as part of the safe sex education campaign “I’M ON” that the organisation has been running in the city for the last few weeks.
ACON CEO Nicolas Parkhill said the condom structure was specifically planned to attract attention.
“We need to constantly find new ways to promote this message, especially in the lead up to World AIDS Day on December 1.”
However, the message of the giant condom has gone viral and is reaching an audience far beyond Sydney and Australia. People are sharing the picture on social media, and reminding each other to protect themselves always.
Nice one!
