Another Bachelorette couple bites the dust! Seriously when I hear news like this, I'm tempted to give up watching the romantic reality TV series. But then I remember couples like Ashley and JP, and Sean Lowe and Catherine, who I watched find love and I shake it off.
Bachelorette star Andi Dorfman, 28, and Josh Murray, 30, hooked up on the last season of the show, where he proposed at the end and she accepted. Some people may not be so surprised that the couple announced their split because there was some tension after it was revealed that she slept with her fiance's rival on the show in the days before the proposal.
It may be that, or it could be other stuff that happened, who knows? It's still sad cos I called it for the two of them together, read here.
The couple said in a mutual statement on Thursday, Jan. 8.
"After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it's best for both of us to go our separate ways. We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this is what's best for both of us individually.
We will continue to be good friends and have nothing but great things to say about each other and wish each other the best."
I guess not all relationships must end in marriage. Even when the engagement ring has been given, if the two people in it decide it's not working anymore, then they should be able to call it off and give each other the opportunity to find someone else that could be better for them.
And it doesn't matter if they met on Bachelor and have millions of fans who saw them fall in love. They owe us nothing, and should not remain miserable together just for appearances.
