28-year-old Kevin Gates is a Louisiana rapper and quite popular in the American hip-hop scene with over 1.3 million Instagram followers. Earlier this week, the rapper posted a shocking confessional video in which he opens up about sleeping with his cousin in a long term relationship.
He said he'd been dating the woman for three "beautiful" months before he found out she was his cousin. He said some of the people who saw them together noted that they resembled brother and sister. Not long after that, his grandmother came and dropped the bomb that they're actually related. However, he says, he still continues seeing her.
"Why f--- up a good thing? I ain't about to stop f---ing with her. S---, the p---y good and we click."
TMZ asked further and Kevin said;
...they began dating in 2006 and continued dating for nearly 2 years after finding out. He says he never found out whether it was a first, second, third cousin or even more remote.
The rapper and the woman are still close, and he has no regrets and feels no weirdness about their relationship.
