Over the weekend, Portia Rossi surprised Ellen with a piece of skywriting to mark the special occasion. She had the word 'six' written in the sky via jetstream as the couple watched.

Ellen must have been wowed with the gesture and promptly posted a photo to Twitter to memorialise the moment. The couple pose for the selfie in matching grins with the skywriting over their heads, and Ellen captioned it;

'Look what my wife did for our wedding anniversary. Six!'

Portia De Rossi, 41 and Ellen DeGeneres, 56, have been together for almost 10 years and married for six years. Many more years to them.

Atala and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary on Valentine's day back in February. It was a couple of weeks after I returned from my 3months stint in Nigeria, and I remember leaving some threads hanging loose and a few people asking me to extend my stay for a couple more weeks so I could tie them all up neatly before returning to the United States.
