Relationship Articles
When you met your husband, and before he became your husband, it is very likely that you had some physical attraction to each other. Then you became lovers and everything was good. However, like so often happens, life happens, you get older, children come along, and you find that you're drifting away from each other, and you're more like friends, siblings or worse, housemates.
Marriage Avowals - Dayo D1 and Caroline Adeneye
Dayo Adeneye a.k.a D1 is better known as the business partner of Kenny Ogungbe, and I was a big fan of their music and entertainment show, Primetime TV back in them days. Dayo is also a husband, now married to his wife, Caroline, for 12 years. In this interview with Punch, the couple talk about how they keep their love fresh, having a daughter before marriage, and how they've stayed together for so long.
Share Your Wedding Photos With Your Favorite Movie Monsters
Are you wondering like me what is terrifying this couple and their bridal party and got them on the run? It is a giant dinosaur, you'll see the leg if you look closely, or you can check out the full image below. It seems the latest fad for wedding photographers is to photoshop movie monsters into wedding photos with the full approval and co-operation of the bride and groom, of course.
Throwback Thursday - The Von Trapps of Sound of Music
The Von Trapps |
If you grew up in the eighties in Nigeria, you probably watched the Sound of Music a gazillion times as a kid. Just like I did. If it wasn't the TV stations showing it every weekend, your family probably also had a VHS that was the default kids time video to watch. It is still one of my top ten movies of all time.

All Boys! Tara Fela-Durotoye and Omoni Oboli and their Men
Some mothers do have them. And I mean this in the best absolute way. Both Omoni Oboli and Tara Fela-Durotoye shared pictures of their respective families recently and it struck me that they both had only sons, three each. Most women, I've heard, usually wish for a mixed brood, some girls to balance things out, and help in the kitchen - yes, some of us still think that way - or at least one girly girl to dress in pink with mummy. And some will keep trying till they get their wish... lol...
Did Natasha in Big Brother Africa actually use a Sex Toy?
Now that I'm back in Seattle, I don't know if I can keep up with the Big brother Africa show, but this news I got in my email got me clicking over to go see the latest. Natasha from Malawi has been one of my favorites from the time they went into the house. She has a sunny disposition, and always cheerful. I actually predicted that she would last long but she was recently put up for eviction.

couple love
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban can never be found slacking on the red carpet and they are almost always together, supporting each other. Nicole is an actress and Keith is a musician, so you'll find them, receiving or presenting awards at such events as this one, the CMT awards. I love them, and hope they stay together.
Beauty Blogger Suffers Horrible Reaction to a Spa Facial
I have written before about how I take care of my skin [read post]. My skin is relatively free from acne and I rarely have to do more than wash, cleanse and or tone with regular skin care products. Sometimes, I buy and use creams for home facials, and while I've never had a spa facial, I've heard of them and a friend who has more of an acne problem uses them regularly.
A Blogger Wedding - Mamuje Goes To Zanzibar!
Mamuje is the blogger at Tattletale Diaries, and in the typical Nigerian way, she recently held several wedding ceremonies to celebrate her marriage. One was her dream event, a destination wedding party for just a handful of guests. She chose Zanzibar, that beautiful Island off the East African coast. And I love that the culture of the location was fully embedded in the ceremony. She was gracious enough to share her pictures with RML. Enjoy!
